About Me

Becoming a UX Designer

UX design was not my first option for a career choice but it is the one I am the most passionate about.  As many people in early adulthood, I didn’t know what to do for a living. I knew I was good with numbers and data, but also had a creative side. I went through kinesiology and architecture. Both were great professions but not great for me. Then the pandemic start which slowed down time enough for me to think and to look at my options. I came across UX Design and it automictically called my attention. I did my own research and ultimately decided to attend General Assembly’s UX Immersive Bootcamp. There I learned the importance of UX in everyday applications and websites. I learned how to identify the problem, and most importantly how to collect information to solve the problem. I learned how to use tools such as Miro, Figma, and Notion. Figma being the most important, I have become familiar with its design and prototype mechanics.  I did a freelance job since completing the bootcamp and I am currently volunteering as a UX designer at UXPALA where I continue to grow as a UX designer.  I plan to land a job with the skills I continue to learn so I can apply it to every project that comes my way.

Me Outside of UX

Besides being a passionate UX Designer, I am a huge NBA fan. Since I live in Los Angeles of course my favorite team would be the Lakers. I don’t only watch basketball, I also love playing it. Overall I enjoy any physical activity, such as hikes , playing sports, working out, and vr games ; which requires a lot of movement. I would also consider myself a foodie. I enjoy trying new foods and driving great distances just because someone told me the dish they had was amazing. When I’m not out and about, I do enjoy staying home and relaxing. During those times is when I enjoy one of my favorite pastimes which is watching anime. This is the person behind the UX Designer.

Let’s create great designs that solve everything
